Celebrating A Very Special Birthday at Do The Beach North Port

We recently had the privilege of hosting a very special birthday party at Do The Beach North Port. Six-year-old Lucas celebrated a cancer-free birthday, along with Spider-Man, Superman, Wonder Woman, and other heroes from Heroes Unmasked Inc.

One of the great parts of running an indoor inflatable park is the chance to host great parties. The one for Lucas stood out as one of the best, ever. It was special in every way that a party can be special.

As we noted on our Facebook post about the party, “It’s a day we won’t forget. Seeing him light up the park with so much energy and happiness after everything he’s overcome meant a lot to our entire team. We’re grateful to his family and to the Heroes Unmasked volunteers for creating such a meaningful moment here at the beach.”

A Six-Year-Old Hero Enjoys His Special Day

Lucas’ mom, Brittany, commented on Facebook, thanking Heroes Unmasked and Do The Beach for the birthday celebration. “Thank you so much for working with Heroes Unmasked Inc and allowing us to celebrate Lucas in your awesome park!” she wrote. “It was truly a remarkable day that he and we will never forget! Everyone had a blast, and he felt so special. Huge thank you to Do The Beach and Heroes Unmasked!!!”

Lucas was diagnosed with cancer in January 2025, but today he is cancer-free. Heroes Unmasked, a Florida nonprofit organization that shows up for kids who are battling life-threatening illnesses, reached out to Do The Beach to host the celebration. All the kids received superhero capes, a Dooey plush toy, and more.

Of course, there was also a giant cake! Not to mention a lot of bouncing, sliding, climbing, running, and jumping. Lucas had a chance to just be a kid, having fun.

Lucas knew the importance of the day. “I kicked cancer butt!” he said in a report about the party by WINK TV. Moments like Lucas’ birthday are why we love what we do. It’s not just about inflatables. It’s about giving families a place to celebrate, laugh, and make memories, especially on days that matter most.
